Who we are

TickWise is an independently owned, reader-supported publication at tick-wise.com. It is published by SYNQ Ventures UG ("we"), a company based in Germany, which is the controller responsible for the personal data described here. Questions about this policy: contact@tick-wise.com.

What we collect

Email alerts: if you sign up for tick-season alerts, we store your email address and, if you provide it, your zip code. We use these only to send the alerts you asked for. We don't sell or rent your email to anyone.
Analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and records only aggregate page views and referrers. It sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and does not follow you across sites. We don't build individual profiles.

How signups are stored

Subscriber emails are processed and stored by Resend, our email service provider, on our behalf. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link; you can also email us to be removed at any time.

Affiliate links

When you click "Check Price" or similar links, you're taken to retailers (such as Amazon) through affiliate links. Those retailers may set cookies that credit us with a commission if you buy something. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This never changes the price you pay. Cookies

TickWise itself sets no cookies at all — not for analytics, not for advertising. That is why you see no cookie banner here. Retailer affiliate cookies are set by the retailer after you leave our site and are governed by the retailer's own privacy policies.

Email us at contact@tick-wise.com to access, correct, or delete any data we hold about you. We'll respond within 30 days.
